      Mike DeWine has a long and distinguished record of public service for the people of Ohio. From the Greene County Prosecutor’s office to the halls of the U.S. Senate, he has vigorously defended innocent human life.
         
      After serving as Greene County Prosecutor, DeWine was elected to the Ohio Senate in 1980. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1983 until he was elected Lt. Governor of Ohio in 1990. He served in the U.S Senate from 1995 until January 2007.

      • DeWine has a stellar record as a pro-life leader.
      • DeWine has a 100% pro-life voting record.
      • DeWine was the prime sponsor of the DeWine Amendment which prohibits the use of taxpayer’s dollars to pay for abortions in federal employees’ insurance.
      • DeWine was the prime Senate sponsor of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, a law which recognized that there have been two victims when a pregnant woman is attacked and her unborn child has been killed or injured.
      • DeWine co-sponsored the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. He was one of 9 members of Congress with President Bush when the bill was signed.
      • DeWine co-sponsored the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act.
      • DeWine co-sponsored the Child Custody Protection Act.
      • DeWine co-sponsored the Human Cloning Prohibition Act.
      • DeWine co-sponsored the Abortion Non-Discrimination Act.
      • DeWine hosted an annual reception for all Ohio pro-lifers attending the January March for Life.
