      State Representative Josh Mandel is a Marine intelligence veteran who has served two tours in Iraq and is currently in his second term representing the 17th Ohio House District.  He was first elected to the House in 2006 after serving three years on City Council in Lyndhurst, Ohio, his hometown.

      Pro Life Record

      • Mandel co-sponsored H.B. 280, the Protecting Pregnant Women from Coercion and Violence Act to increase penalties for domestic violence when the offender knew the victim was pregnant and to require abortion facilities to post a “No One Can Force You to Have an Abortion” notice.
      • Mandel co-sponsored  H.B. 314, the Ultrasound Viewing Option Bill.
      • Mandel co-sponsored S.B. 304 to increase the time that a parent could voluntarily deliver a newborn to a “Safe Haven”.
      • Mandel co-sponsored H.B. 7, a bill to reform and promote adoption in Ohio.
      • Mandel co-sponsored H.B. 102, a bill to promote Umbilical Cord Blood donation as an ethical source of stem cells.
      • Mandel has attended and spoken at pro-life events.
