      John Kasich was first elected to the Ohio Senate in 1978 at the age of 26.  In 1982, he was elected to the United State House of Representatives at the age of 30, where he served 18 years representing Ohio’s 12th Congressional district. 


      Pro Life Record
      • Kasich has a 100% pro-life voting 
      • Kasich supported the DeWine Amendment which prohibits the use of taxpayer’s dollars to pay for abortions in federal employees’ insurance.
      • Kasich repeatedly voted for the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act.  
      • Kasich supported amendments to prohibit abortions in overseas military facilities.
      • Kasich supported the Child Custody Protection Act.
      • Kasich supported the Unborn Victims of Violence Act.
      • Kasich supported the Pain Relief Promotion Act to deter assisted  suicide.
      • Kasich repeatedly voted to support the Mexico City Policy to prevent funding of overseas groups that promote abortion
      • Kasich voted to prevent funding of the UNFPA because of its involvement with China’s forced abortion “population control” program.
